theres 2 kinds of xbox live
1- silver: u chat and watch other ppl play but u dont play....and its for free
2-gold:u play chat and do everything but u have to buy a 12 month xbox live card for about $40-$50 .......(and trust me that is so cheap)

well u can buy months such as 1month-7.99 3month-19.99
13 month-49.99-Best one just buy that 1 put the code in or if u have a creidt card u can but through xbox live marketplace
