Getting an xbox but have no idea what im doing lol?

im getting an xbox in about a week, my questions are


1) how do i go about getting xbox live? or online connection or w.e? (detailed if you can please)


2) do i HAVE to by a hard drive or can i just play games with what the console comes with? (im getting call of duty mwf 2 %26amp; w@w)


3)is everything hard to set up?Getting an xbox but have no idea what im doing lol?
It is easy to set up, most XBoxs have harddrives built in, and live is bought at like a walmart, It has a built in Ethernet port, but you need to get an attachment for it for wireless.
