Xbox 360 online play help?

i am getting an xbox 360 for christmas and need to set the online play and i need some advice for how to set it up.


i have a non-wireless modem downstairs and need to get the wire upstairs and i can't get a wireless modem. any help with what cable to get will be greatly appreciated and all non helpful answers will be reported. thanks in advanceXbox 360 online play help?
well the best thing to do is to get a long Ethernet cord with a cat5 connection probably depending on how far it is (measure distance from modem to xbox before buy) you will have to buy on a rough estimate 20 metres or so, maybe evan longer and if you have any trouble getting the ip address working email me and ill set you straight :)Xbox 360 online play help?

you need a long ethernet cord. *the cord that you connect the computer to the modem. so leave that one and buy another one, and like that you wont have to gu upstairs to un-plug. like leave the cord connected to the computer then buy another one and connect it to the xbox and take it dowstairs and when your going to use it just connect the xbox.





i recommend just get a wireless router.
plain and simple. GET A REALLY LONG CORD. lol hope it helps
