Need some help with xbox live/online?

Ok im going to sound like a noob, but i dont really know how the whole xbox live/online thing works, i know you get to play people online. but how do i get this? and do i need to buy those gold cards..


and do i need a certian computer? please give details.

Its ok. Your not a noob, everyone has to start somewhere. Here's what you do. The easiest way is to go to your local walmart target or any store. Then you go to electronics and you look at the Xbox 360 set up or display shelfs. Then you Purchase an Xbox Live gold subscription card. I would recomend the 12 month GOLD card. this enables you to explore all that xbox has to offer. Then when you get home you turn on your Xbox which has to be conected to your router via wierless or with a ethernet cable into your router. then you go and sign into your acount that you have already made. ( if you have'nt made one then just go to create a profile. it really easy and it should be on your dashboard.) Then if you have an acount on your controller hit the guide button. ( this is the big X botton. cant miss it, its the biggest button on your controller.) scroll down and select join xbox live or sign up to xbox live. Once you do this you can creat a new online profile and join xbox live. at the end it will ask you to either sign up on xbox live via credit card or with a prepaid subscription, Select prepaid subscription and enter your code thats on the back of the card. once you've done that your off and running on the funnest online any system has to offer.Need some help with xbox live/online?
You need an internet connection via ethernet to the back of your xbox or a wireless adapter accessory. You can either buy the cards or sign up on your xbox, but I'm pretty sure you need gold. I'm not sure, but I think silver is just downloading stuff.
well, first connect you xbox to the internet. then create an xbox live account via computer (xbox360 website) then uhh....go to your xbox and transfer the account to your 360. then go online on you computer and pay for the gold membership. its been around 2months since ive done it so i cant really remember.
