They might. I would go to you tube.com and look up hitlers greatest downfall. Its the video that says Hitler gets banned. Its about how microsoft betrayed him and banned his xbox because he had it modified.
Microsoft can see that you have a modified machine and they will ban the console from online connection permanently. You won't even be able to message or private chat. To set up an Xbox Live account you go to the Xbox Live Blade (Orange) and it is a on screen directions how you set it up. From what I remember you start by putting in information (name, address, phone number, credit card #, etc) after that you make a gamertag, tests the connection, and I think your done. According to someone who used to work as an XBox 360 tech support person, Microsoft will probably ban your Xbox. He said that it depends on the modification though. So. iof you have mroe information. That would be helpful. :)

well with the original xbox(not 360) if you have a mod box it wont let you online, and if somehow you get on, they ban you! so its probably the same i would think
